Blueberry Salad Dressing

With blueberries being the star of this show, this recipe is great when trying to make changes for a healthier lifestyle. Also if you don't like salads too much. The dressing is the secret. Making your own dressings, ensures you know exactly what ingredients are going into your family's food.

Equipment

  • Measuring Spoons
  • Food Processor
  • Glass Jar or Container

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Heaping Cup Slightly defrosted blueberries
  • 2 tbsp Light Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 whole Lime Squeeze all the juice from both halves
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Blueberries can sit to defrost while you cut the lime and grab the olive oil, measuring spoon, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the cup of frozen blueberries into a food processor.
  • While the blueberries are being processed, (there should be an opening to add ingredients as the food is being blended)
  • Go ahead and add the 2 tablespoons of light olive oil.
  • Add 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Add lime juice of one lime.
  • Stop the food processor.
  • Pour into cup, or jar.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
  • Mix well with a spoon, (or butter knife like I do ha-ha).
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Lime – Squeeze all the juice from both halves.
  • Blend in food processor thoroughly
  • Place mixture into Mason Jar
  • Add ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • Add ¼ Teaspoon Pepper
  • Mix (maybe with a spoon or butter knife like I do ha-ha).

Notes

Please feel free to adjust the amount of each ingredient. This recipe was made when I first went vegan and couldn't get my family to eat salads. They would have eaten this out of the jar. they liked it that much haha.
